Princess Principal was a Japanese anime series that first premiered on July 9, 2017. It was set in 19th century London within the Albion Kingdom, which was divided into east and west by a large wall. The show followed a group of five girls who served as undercover spies, attending the Queen's Mayfair school while carrying out espionage, infiltration, and disguise missions. The series depicted their adventures and the various challenges they faced in their secret lives.

The cast included Akari Kageyama as Beatrice, Akira Sekine as Princess, Ayaka Imamura as Angie, Nozomi Furuki as Chise, and Yō Taichi as Dorothy. The show also featured Takaya Hashi as Duke Normandy, Takayuki Sugo as L, and Takumi Yamazaki as The Colonel. The series had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes per episode.
