Plotlands was a period drama serial set in the 1920s. It told the story of Chloe Marsh, a Londoner who, in an effort to escape her abusive husband, moved with her two daughters to a new style housing estate where residents could buy a plot of land for five pounds and build their own homes. The show explored her struggles and the community's development during that era.

The cast included Saskia Reeves as Chloe Marsh, Richard Lintern as Tom Marsh, and Rebecca Callard as Harriet Marsh. Other cast members were David Ryall as Harry Crowley, Philip Whitchurch as Billy Reed, Amanda Abbington as Maude, and Jade Williams as Joan Marsh. The show did not have a rated score on TVMaze and had a runtime of approximately 50 minutes per episode.
