Piratas was a drama, action, and adventure series set in the 18th century. It followed the story of Álvaro Mondego, a nobleman with debts and a reputation for seduction, whose life changed dramatically when he was forcibly enlisted in a mission for the Crown. He was captured by a pirate crew led by Captain Bocanegra and his daughter Carmen, who held the keys to a legendary treasure. Alongside companions Esteban, a tailor with a unique sense of honor, and Anton, a boy with a special ability to learn, Mondego became embroiled in a struggle for loot and survival.

It was a historical drama that explored themes of adventure, loyalty, and treasure hunting during the 18th century.
