Pinoy Idol was a Philippine interactive reality-based singing competition that aimed to discover the country's best singer through nationwide auditions and live performances. Created as a franchise of the British Pop Idol, the series involved public voting via SMS to determine the winner. It was the second season of Philippine Idol, which originally aired in 2006.

The show featured host Raymond Gutierrez and judges Wyngard Tracy, Ogie Alcasid, and Jolina Magdangal. Gretchen Espina won the first season, with Jayann Bautista and Ram Chaves as the first and second runners-up. The program was a music genre series with each episode lasting approximately 60 minutes.
