PetoPeto-san was an anime comedy, romance, and supernatural series that premiered in 2005. The show was set in a world where humans and youkai, paranormal creatures, coexisted and attended school together. It followed the story of Shingo Ohashi, who developed feelings for Hatoko "Petoko" Fujimura, a half-youkai girl with unique powers such as uncontrollable cuteness, the ability to get stuck to anyone who touched her, and the capacity to disappear at a molecular level.

The episodes each had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes.
