Papyrus was an animated adventure series for children that was set in ancient Egypt. It centered around a young fisherman named Papyrus who was chosen by the gods to find the secret entrance to the black pyramid of Ombos, free the imprisoned god Horus, and restore peace to Egypt. The series drew on mythological themes and featured characters involved in a quest to defeat the god Set and bring balance back to the land.
Each episode had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes. The series was produced with two seasons, with the first season consisting of 26 episodes.
