It followed four outlaws from the Old West who were transported to 1986 after a lightning strike during a confrontation with their former leader. Once in the modern era, they formed the Double-Eagle Detective Agency and navigated the challenges of contemporary life, aided by local police officer Maggie Randall.
The series starred Rod Taylor as Sheriff Jonathan Grail, William Lucking as Harland Pike, Richard Roundtree as Isaiah "Ice" McAdams, Charles Napier as Wolfson Lucas, Patrick Houser as William Pike, and Christine Belford as Maggie Randall.
