Onyx Equinox was an action, adventure, and fantasy animated series that was based on Mesoamerican cultures. It told the story of a young Aztec boy who was saved from death by the gods and chosen to be ‘humanity's champion.’ Throughout the season, he was forced to shed his apathy and demonstrate humanity's potential in a series of challenges that spanned the rich and authentic worlds of ancient Mesoamerica.
