About Onigiri

Onigiri was an anime series that aired in 2016, set in a mystical version of Japan filled with legendary creatures from Japanese folklore. It followed the story of a lone Oni who fought against the spreading malevolent influence of the Kamikui. Throughout the series, the protagonist was joined by eight NPC allies, each with their own unique personalities and abilities, as they worked together to build a legend and combat the evil forces threatening their world.

The show featured a cast including Aina Suzuki as Gozen Shizuka, Eriko Matsui as Yoshitsune, Natsuko Hara as Amaterasu, Izumi Kitta as Kaguya, Suzuko Mimori as Ibaraki-douji, Nozomi Kishita as Kijimuna, Nakane Monya as Uzume, and Yuki Nakashima as Veronica. The episodes had a runtime of approximately 5 minutes each.
