It followed Dr. Dawn "Holli" Holliday, a forensics expert who was appointed as the Medical Examiner for the State of Hawaii. She often found herself at odds with Lt. Mack Wolfe, Honolulu PD's leading homicide detective, but they had to work together to solve various criminal cases. The series was set in Hawaii and depicted the collaboration and conflicts between the medical examiner and law enforcement.
