Ohisama was a drama series set in Nagano prefecture during World War II. It followed the life of Yoko Sudo, a young woman known for her bright smile and positive outlook, who faced the hardships of wartime while maintaining hope and resilience. The series depicted her journey from a high school student to a teacher, and later as a wife and mother, eventually opening a soba restaurant with her former student.
The show starred Mao Inoue as Yoko Sudo. It was a historical drama that premiered in 2011 and had a runtime of approximately 15 minutes per episode. Since it ended in 2011, there are no current plans for a revival or continuation.
