Is Ohisama coming back?

Ohisama ended on October 1, 2011, after its single season. The show aired on NHK and concluded its story in 156 episodes. It is not currently scheduled to return or continue in any form.

Ohisama was a drama series set in Nagano prefecture during World War II. It followed the life of Yoko Sudo, a young woman known for her bright smile and positive outlook, who faced the hardships of wartime while maintaining hope and resilience. The series depicted her journey from a high school student to a teacher, and later as a wife and mother, eventually opening a soba restaurant with her former student.

The show starred Mao Inoue as Yoko Sudo. It was a historical drama that premiered in 2011 and had a runtime of approximately 15 minutes per episode. Since it ended in 2011, there are no current plans for a revival or continuation.
