No-Rin was a comedy, romance, and anime series that premiered in January 2014. It was about a teenager named Hata Kosaku who was devastated when idol Kusakabe Yuka abruptly retired from the entertainment industry. When Yuka transferred to his school under a different name, Kosaku saw a rare chance to get to know his idol and tried to become closer to her with the help of his friends.
The series featured actors such as Shintaro Asanuma as Kosaku Hatta, Yukari Tamura as Ringo Kinoshita, Emiri Katō as Wakadanna, Kana Hanazawa as Minori Nakazawa, Marina Inoue as Kocho Yoshida, Wataru Hatano as Kei Kamatori, and Chiwa Saito as Natsumi Betsuki.
