Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation was a live-action action-adventure comedy series that was a spin-off of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. Set after the events of the three movies, the show followed the story of four turtles—Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo—who were separated after coming into contact with mutagen. They were reunited with their long-lost sister Venus de Milo, who had been raised in China by a Shinobi master named Chung I. The turtles faced a new threat called the Dragon Lord, leader of an army of dragons known as The Rank.

Each episode had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes. The show was notable for introducing Venus de Milo, the fifth mutant turtle, and for its action-packed storylines involving martial arts and fantasy elements.
