It follows Sumireko Ogawa, a bookstore clerk with aspirations of becoming a novelist, who becomes involved in investigating strange occurrences around her city. Alongside her flirtatious co-worker Ren Adashino, she uses her knowledge of the occult to uncover the mysteries behind these disappearances. The series explores their adventures and the secrets Ren is hiding.
