About Midnight Feast
Midnight Feast ended on September 4, 2015, after its first season aired on FYI.
The show was a food competition series that took place in New York's Chelsea Market, where professional chefs competed in late-night culinary challenges. Each episode featured three chefs who had exclusive after-hours access to the market's ingredients, creating inventive dishes based on different themes. The contestants aimed to impress the judges and win a cash prize, which was ten times the value of the ingredients they used, while the losers paid their own tabs. The series showcased a variety of creative cooking styles, from crafting the perfect last-night-on-earth feast to making meals designed for romantic success or eaten without silverware.
The series was hosted by chef and restaurateur Spike Mendelsohn, who also served as the head judge. Kat Odell from eater.com and chef John DeLucie participated as judges. The show ran for one season, comprising six episodes, and provided viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at the competitive culinary world within one of New York City's most famous food halls.
