About McCloud
McCloud ended in 1977 on NBC. The series concluded after its seventh season, with the final episode airing on April 17, 1977.
McCloud was a drama, adventure, and crime series that originally premiered on February 17, 1970. It followed Deputy Marshal Sam McCloud of the Taos police as he traveled to New York City to pursue criminals. Once there, he was loaned to the NYPD as a special investigator, where his relaxed cowboy demeanor contrasted sharply with the city’s rough-and-tumble police officers. The show was part of NBC’s Sunday Mystery Movie lineup and enjoyed high ratings during its run.
The cast included Dennis Weaver as Sam McCloud, J.D. Cannon as Peter B. Clifford, Terry Carter as Sgt. Joe Broadhurst, Ken Lynch as Sgt. Grover, and Teri Garr as Sgt. Phyllis Norton. The series was rated 7.8 on TVMaze and each episode had a runtime of approximately 110 minutes.
