It followed the life of Alec Callendar, a solicitor in Pinner who enjoyed talking to Perry Mason, as he navigated his relationship with Zoe Angel, a woman half his age. The show also depicted the everyday ups and downs of Alec’s colleagues, including his secretaries Hilary and Miss Flood, as well as his son Jamie. The series was set in the UK and showcased humorous situations arising from personal and professional interactions.
The cast included Anton Rodgers as Alec Callender, Frances White as Vera Flood, Paul Venables as Jamie Callender, Eve Matheson as Zoë Angell, and Lesley Dunlop also as Zoë Angell. The show had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes per episode.
