Marco Polo was a drama and adventure series that aired in 2007. It depicted the journey of the historical figure Marco Polo, who was assigned to accompany two priests on a mission to convert the court of Kublai Khan to Christianity. When the priests doubted the existence of China and turned back, Polo was abandoned in the mountains. He pressed on alone towards the fabled land, where he was accepted as an envoy into Khan's court. Over twenty years, Polo, along with his servant Pedro, lived as a Mongol grandee and eventually returned to the West with a chronicle that influenced history.

The series was a single season with two episodes, each approximately 90 minutes long. It focused on Polo’s extraordinary travels and experiences in 13th-century China, showcasing his role in bridging two worlds and sharing his adventures and insights from his time in the East.
