The series was a documentary that examined the insidious behaviors and practices within the IFB, a religious movement that originated in the 1950s and has grown to include around 8 million believers across more than 6,000 churches in the United States. Through firsthand accounts from survivors, activists, and church defectors, the show uncovered the disturbing inner workings behind the seemingly virtuous exterior of these churches, including allegations of ritualistic abuse, mind control, and violence.
