After her aunt Mercedes passed away, Juliana was visited by her spirit, who guided her to a magical mirror that allowed her to appear beautiful and glamorous during the day. Juliana adopted the persona of "Maritza" and secured a position at a cosmetic company owned by Gabriel Muti. She caught the eye of Gabriel's stepson Marcos, who fell in love with her, unaware of her true identity. When night fell, Juliana reverted to her original self, creating a stressful situation that led her to seek a solution.
