The show followed Jerrica Benton, who used a holographic projection system called Synergy to create her alter ego Jem and lead the band Jem and The Holograms. The series depicted their musical adventures, rivalries with The Misfits, and themes of friendship, love, and ambition, set against the backdrop of the 1980s music scene.
