The series was based on themes of law, money, love, and passion, exploring issues such as lobbying, rebating, corruption, and societal connections through its storyline. The plot centered around Lee Cha Don, a man who rose to become a special branch prosecutor using money borrowed from a loan shark, and Bok Jae In, the daughter of that loan shark, who raised Lee Cha Don.
