In the Name of Justice ended on July 9, 2025, after its first season aired on CCTV-8 and Youku. The series concluded its run with all 36 episodes broadcast in 2025.

In the Name of Justice was a legal drama series set in the province of Haidong. It followed prosecutors Hong Liang and Zheng Yaping as they reopened the notorious Wan Hai Organized-Crime Case in Dongping City. Throughout the season, the protagonists uncovered evidence that judicial insiders had manipulated the law to protect a criminal syndicate. Using a whistle-blower tip as their entry point, the team worked to dismantle the criminal network and bring the corrupt officials involved to justice.

The cast included Zhang Yi as Hong Liang, Li Guang Jie as Li Renjun, and Rulu Jiang as Zheng Yaping. The show had a runtime of 45 minutes per episode.
