Is Iljimae coming back?

Iljimae ended on July 24, 2008, on SBS.

This historical drama series, which premiered on May 21, 2008, was set during the Joseon Dynasty. It told the story of Yong, a man who led a double life as a marketplace hooligan by day and a thief by night, targeting corrupt officials to aid the poor. His signature was leaving behind a painting of a plum tree branch, earning him the name Iljimae. The series focused on his quest to find the owner of a special sword believed to be linked to his father's death, a loyal subject of the emperor. Eun Chae, a daughter of a government official, was portrayed as empathetic towards the less fortunate and became involved with Iljimae after meeting him by chance.

The show starred Lee Joon Ki as Iljimae, Han Hyo Joo as Eun Chae, Lee Young Ah as Bong Soon, and Park Shi Hoo as Shi Hoo. The series consisted of a single season with 20 episodes, each approximately 70 minutes long. It is no longer airing and concluded its story in 2008.
