The show was a crime thriller that aired in 2005 and was set against the backdrop of the 1999 Russian presidential elections. It followed the investigation by FSB agents Sonia Astrova and Andrei Kasanov into a car bomb explosion outside a pharmaceutical company, which resulted in the theft of a virus. The investigation was complicated by interference from the FSB director, Anatoly Grishin.

Icon was a Russian action and crime series that was a two-episode mini-series. It starred Patrick Swayze as Jason Monk, Patrick Bergin as Igor Komarov, and Annika Peterson as Sonia Astrova. The show had a runtime of 90 minutes per episode.
