It was a science-fiction action thriller that premiered in 2011. The series was set in 2020 and followed environmental scientist Professor Thom Archer as he investigated the melting of the Greenland Glacier caused by the energy company Halo. When his warnings were ignored, he traveled to the Arctic to gather evidence and soon realized that humanity was in immediate danger. He raced back home to protect his family as the glacier collapsed, leading to catastrophic weather changes and a sharp global temperature decline.
The show featured a cast including Richard Roxburgh as Thom Archer, Frances O'Connor as Sarah, Claire Forlani as Jacqueline, Ben Cross as Stephan, Simon Callow as Prime Minister, Patrick Bergin as Quinn, Stephen Moyer as Peterson, and Sam Neill as Anthony Kavanagh. The episodes had a runtime of 120 minutes each.
