Huntingtower was a television adaptation of the adventure genre set in south-west Scotland during the 1920s. It was a story about Dickson McCunn, a retired 55-year-old grocer who, upon taking early retirement, decided to explore the world. The series depicted his transition from a comfortable bourgeois life into a series of bizarre and outlandish adventures, which unexpectedly turned him into a reluctant hero.

The show starred Paul Curran as Dickson McCunn and Peter Settelen as John Heritage. It was a 30-minute series that aired in 1978.
