Hua Li De Tiao Zhan was a drama series that followed the story of Gon Xi, a high school graduate who sacrificed her university plans to support her childhood friend and romantic interest, Bu Po Shang, in his pursuit of a pop idol career. The series depicted her struggles working multiple jobs in Taipei as Bu Po Shang's popularity surged, only to discover that he had used her for his own benefit. Heartbroken, Gon Xi decided to seek revenge by becoming a bigger star herself. She auditioned for L.M.E Taiwan's largest talent agency and joined their new department "Love me," where she met Jian Nan Qin. The show also featured Sun He Lian, a famous actor who often taunted her, as Gon Xi's acting career began to flourish and she found a new sense of identity beyond her initial plans.

The cast included Ivy Chen as Gon Xi, Choi Si Won as Dun Helia, Donghae as Bu Po Shan, and Bianca Bai as Jiang Nanqin. The series was rated 7.5 on TVMaze and had a runtime of 70 minutes per episode.
