It depicted the life of Li Wen-hsin, a youth involved in the December 10 demonstration, who was imprisoned and learned to survive in prison, known as the "Hotel Saltwater." The show explored themes of political activism, friendship, love, and the longing for democracy through Wen-hsin's experiences and memories.

The episodes each had a runtime of approximately 50 minutes.
