Hooperman was a comedy-drama series that first aired in 1987. It followed the life of Harry Hooperman, a San Francisco police detective who inherited a rundown apartment building and had to manage its upkeep while balancing his police duties. The show depicted his interactions with the quirky dog Bijoux, the building's owner, and his developing relationship with Susan Smith, the aspiring writer he hired as superintendent.

The cast was led by John Ritter as Harry Hooperman, with Debrah Farentino portraying Susan Smith. Other main actors included Barbara Bosson as Captain C.Z. Stern and Clarence Felder as Inspector Bobo Pritzger. The series did not have a rated score and each episode ran for approximately 30 minutes.
