Hinomaru Sumo was an anime series that aired from October 5, 2018, to March 29, 2019. It was a sports-themed anime that focused on sumo wrestling, a sport traditionally associated with Japan. The story followed Ushio Hinomaru, a small but determined student who joined the weak sumo club at Oodachi High School. Despite his size, Ushio aimed to reach the highest rank in sumo, Hinoshita Kaisan, and the series depicted his journey and the challenges faced by the club as they worked to improve and compete.
Each episode had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes.
