The series was a drama, action, and crime story that followed judge Ömer Arif Derman as he navigated a world turned upside down by personal tragedy. After his wife's sudden death, Ömer Arif sought to rebuild a new life for himself and his son. The plot thickened when his son, Ozan, became involved in an incident that led to a murder, revealing that the victim was the son of a Mafia boss. The series depicted Ömer Arif's moral struggles and sacrifices as he delved into dangerous conflicts to protect his family, ultimately transforming into a different man in the face of threats and violence. Hakim was an adaptation of the Israeli series "Kvodo" from 2017, set in Turkey and exploring themes of justice, loyalty, and moral compromise.

The cast included Erdal Beşikçioğlu as Ömer Arif Derman, Yurdaer Okur as Azem Demirkıran, and Ebru Özkan as Yasemin Kaner. Uğur Yücel played Cevdet, while Fatih Berk Şahin portrayed Ozan Derman, Ömer Arif's son. The series featured a runtime of approximately 120 minutes per episode.
