Hai-Furi was an anime series set in a maritime-themed school for girls, where students trained to become "blue mermaids." These young women aimed to excel in both academics and practical maritime skills, embodying the motto "In the sea we live, the sea we protect, and by the sea we go." The show focused on their efforts to develop an international mindset and gain knowledge of different cultures, all while preparing for careers related to the ocean.

The cast included Sora Amamiya as Moeka China, Shiina Natsukawa as Akeno Misaki, and Natsuki Aikawa as Hiromi Kuroki, among others.
