Is Gunpowder, Treason & Plot coming back?

Gunpowder, Treason & Plot ended on March 21, 2004, on BBC Two. The series consisted of two episodes that aired over a single week, concluding its story in that period.

The show was a historical drama that depicted the events surrounding the Gunpowder Plot and the lives of key figures such as Mary Queen of Scots and her son James I. It explored the political and religious conflicts of the time, including Mary’s brief reign and her struggles with her Protestant subjects, as well as the conspiracy led by Guy Fawkes to blow up the Houses of Parliament to overthrow an oppressive Protestant regime.

The cast included Clémence Poésy as Mary, Queen of Scots; Catherine McCormack as Elizabeth I of England; Kevin McKidd as James Hepburn, 4th Earl of Bothwell; Robert Carlyle as James VI of Scotland; Michael Fassbender as Guy Fawkes; and Richard Coyle as Robert Catesby.
