Genshi Shounen Ryuu was an action, adventure, anime, and fantasy series that was first broadcast in 1971. It told the story of Ryuu, a boy born into a tribe that attempted to sacrifice him due to the color of his skin. He was saved by a monkey who raised him as her own. The series followed Ryuu’s journey as he searched for his mother, who had left the tribe, and his friend Ran, after their tribe was destroyed by a Tyrannosaurus named Shirano.
