Garo: Crimson Moon was an action-packed anime series set in Heian-kyou, a city protected by a spiritual force field. The story was set in a historical fantasy universe where court magi, known as onmyouji, defended the palace, but outside the city, monsters called "horrors" preyed upon humans after sunset. The series followed a group of heroes who fought these creatures to protect the common people from the darkness.
