Full Moon wo Sagashite was a Japanese anime series that premiered in 2002. It was a drama, comedy, fantasy, and musical anime that told the story of Mitsuki Kouyama, a 12-year-old girl diagnosed with throat cancer who dreams of becoming a professional singer. After being visited by two angels of death, Meroko and Takuto, Mitsuki learns she has only one year to live. Despite her prognosis, she chooses to pursue her singing ambitions with determination, facing various challenges, successes, and heartbreaks along the way.
