Fresh Fields was a comedy series that aired from 1984 to 1986. It depicted the life of William and Hester Fields, a married couple who had been happily together for twenty years. After their children left home, Hester sought to find new activities and challenges to enjoy with her husband, even if William was sometimes less enthusiastic. The series explored their attempts to rekindle their relationship and pursue new pastimes, set against the backdrop of everyday family life.
The cast included Anton Rodgers as William Fields and Julia McKenzie as Hester Fields. Ann Beach played Sonia, Fanny Rowe was Nancy Penrose, Ballard Berkeley portrayed Guy Penrose, and Philip Bird appeared as Peter. The show had a runtime of 30 minutes per episode.
