Fire of Desire (2001–2001) — drama · romance on Channel 3
About Fire of Desire
Fire of Desire ended on April 29, 2001, on Channel 3.
The series was a drama and romance that aired in 2001. It told the story of Kenneth, who traveled to Thailand with his friend Yuth. Yuth had to return home quickly due to his family's financial problems. Kenneth wanted to help by lending money from his inheritance but needed to be married first. He fell in love with Yuth's sister, PeangUma, and was willing to marry her. However, PeangUma married Kenneth to help her family before she even had a chance to love him. She harbored resentment towards Caucasians because her aunt had died from heartbreak caused by her Caucasian husband. Throughout the series, Kenneth tried to show his love for PeangUma, but she pushed him away, making their relationship difficult.
The show was a two-season series with a total of 20 episodes, all aired within a two-month period. It starred Supawatt Purdy as Kenneth and Kullasatree Siripongpreeda as PeangUma. The runtime for each episode was approximately 45 minutes. Though the series has ended, it remains a notable example of early 2000s Thai drama and romance television programming.
