Is Faro coming back?

Faro ended on August 11, 2025, after its first season aired from June 16 to August 11, 2025, on RTP1. The show concluded its story with the eighth episode, and there are no upcoming episodes scheduled.

Faro was a drama and thriller series set in the Algarve during wintertime. It depicted the tensions and conflicts that arose when a Real Estate Fund attempted to purchase the entire island of Faro to develop a luxury resort. The plot centered around Zé Maria, an old fisherman and owner of a well-known beach restaurant, who refused to sell his land, influenced by his daughter Ana Cristina, who had recently returned from Switzerland. Other residents of the island followed his example, creating a stand-off against the developers.

The series featured actors such as Miguel Borges as Zé Maria, Sara Barradas as Ana Cristina, Adriano Luz as Abel, Lourenço de Almeida as Ernesto, Carolina Carvalho as Helena Ramos, Carlos Sebastião as João Seabra, Ricardo Pereira as Dr. Quintino, and Tainá Müller as Marta.
