El puntero ended on December 28, 2011. The show aired on El Trece and concluded its first season in late 2011.

El puntero was a miniseries set in a Villa miseria in Greater Buenos Aires, focusing on the local political landscape. It depicted the life of Pablo Aldo Perotti, known as the "Gitano," who worked within the clientelist relations between impoverished residents and political authorities. The series explored Perotti’s ambitions to become the new mayor and his desire to reunite with his former wife Clarita.
