Don't Drink the Water was a British sitcom that first premiered on July 27, 1974. It was a comedy series produced by London Weekend Television, created and written by Ronald Chesney and Ronald Wolfe. The show was a spin-off from their long-running sitcom On the Buses and followed the life of Cyril Blake, who was living in Spain with his sister Dorothy after retiring from the Luxton & District Traction Company.
The series starred Stephen Lewis as Cyril Blake, Pat Coombs as Dorothy Blake, and Derek Griffiths as Carlos. Each episode had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes. The show aired a total of 13 episodes over two seasons, providing a humorous look at the characters' lives abroad.
