With the help of his sisters Cora and Louise, Victor explored stories told by an elderly uncle, which led them to a former friend of Cäcilie, the girl who had died. The series' title refers to a small leather crocodile Victor discovered during his investigations.

Each episode had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes, and the series was based on a suspenseful mystery narrative set in a historical context.
