Dai-Guard was an anime series that first premiered on October 5, 1999. It was a mix of comedy, action, and adventure, set in a world where an alien force called the Heterodyne had previously attacked Earth. The story followed three employees from a corporate marketing department who, by chance, had to activate the unused Dai-Guard robot to defend Japan when the aliens reappeared. The series depicted their efforts to balance their everyday jobs with their unexpected roles as defenders against extraterrestrial threats.
The cast included Kentaro Ito as Shunsuke Akagi, Shinichiro Miki as Keiichiro Aoyama, Akiko Hiramatsu as Ibuki Momoi, and Ono Kenichi as Shirou Shirota. The show does not have a rated score on TVMaze and had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes per episode.
