D.N.Angel was a Japanese anime series that premiered in 2003. It was a mix of comedy, action, supernatural elements, and romance, centered around Daisuke Niwa, a clumsy middle school student who discovers he transforms into the phantom thief Dark Mousy whenever he is romantically interested in Risa Harada. The story explored his struggles to control his alter ego while uncovering his family’s secret heritage involving art theft and supernatural powers.
