The show was a comedy, action, and adventure series that premiered in 1994. It followed Chris, a typical teenager who accidentally discovered a box of green super-ooze. When opened, the ooze released five undead Creepy Crawler Commandos, who possessed special afterlife powers and had their innards showing. The series centered around their battles against evil magician Gugengrime, who stole the ooze to create an army of Creepy Crawler monsters in an attempt to take over the world. Chris and his friends had to fight to prevent Gugengrime's plans from succeeding.
Each episode had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes. The series spanned two seasons, with a total of 23 episodes, and was part of the 1990s children's programming lineup.
