Is Contrail coming back?

Contrail ended on June 3, 2016, on NHK. The series concluded after its 8th episode aired on that date.

Contrail was a Japanese drama and romance series that premiered on April 15, 2016. It told the story of Aoki Aya, a woman who had been grieving the loss of her husband, murdered six years earlier in a random act of violence. She was pregnant at the time of her husband's death and now has a five-year-old son. The plot focused on her encounter with Ryoji, a truck driver she met at her workplace, who was later revealed to be the man responsible for her husband's murder, having abandoned his previous life as a lawyer.

The show starred Yuriko Ishida as Aoki Aya and Arata Iura as Osabe Ryoji. Each episode had a runtime of approximately 45 minutes.
