Comicstaan was a comedy series that premiered in 2018 on Prime Video. It brought together seven of India's top comedians to discover the next big stand-up talent. Hosted by Abish Mathew and Sumukhi Suresh, the competition featured ten contestants judged by a panel of prominent comedians including Tanmay Bhat, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kanan Gill, Kenny Sebastian, Sapan Verma, Kaneez Surka, and Naveen Richard.
The series had three seasons, with the most recent one debuting in July 2022. Each season showcased the contestants performing stand-up routines, with the judges providing feedback and selecting winners. The show was a platform for emerging comedians to showcase their talent in a format that combined comedy, competition, and mentorship. The runtime for each episode was approximately 61 minutes.
