The show was a British drama series set during World War II, focusing on Allied prisoners of war held at Colditz Castle, a supposedly escape-proof German prison designated Oflag IV-C. It depicted their numerous attempts to escape captivity and explored the relationships between the prisoners of various nationalities and their German captors.
The series, which premiered on October 19, 1972, in 1972, featured a cast including David McCallum as Flt. Lt. Simon Carter, Richard Heffer as Capt. Tim Downing, and Paul Chapman as Capt. George Brent. The show had a runtime of 50 minutes per episode. It was not rated on TVMaze.
