The series was planned to follow the work of mechanic Sheldon Nichols, supported by bodywork expert Peter Harriott, as they sourced and restored classic cars according to clients' needs and budgets. The show aimed to showcase their process of finding suitable vehicles, performing mechanical repairs, adding modernizations, and restoring the bodywork to create a dream car for each client. The goal was to complete these projects within budget, sometimes making a small profit.
